“God Reveals the Future”
January 27, 2013
Pastor Roger Ball
Your future. What is it? Hope? Despair? Pain? Misery? Joy? Winner or loser? Let me show how to avoid losing and embrace security and hope not fear and shame. See your future as we lift back the veil on the Book of Revelation. The most exciting mysterious book ever written. Today we begin the Future based on the Book of Revelation.
Revelation 1:1 – The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show to His bond-servants, the things which must soon take place; and He sent and communicated it by His angel to His bond-servant John,
Revelation 1:2 – who testified to the word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, even to all that he saw.
Revelation 1:3 – Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of the prophecy, and heed the things which are written in it; for the time is near.
Your “near-soon” Future includes five things:
#1 – See the visible return of ________.
#2 – See the unparallel display of the __
______.
#3 – See __
_____ at work for ____.
#4 – See and talk with the __
____ and _____ from the past and present.
#5 – See and experience of the ultimate ________.
Revelation 1:1 – The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show to His bond-servants, the things which must soon take place; and He sent and communicated it by His angel to His bond-servant John,
Underline Jesus. The future is about Jesus.
“John” is the one Jesus loved much.
This “Revelation” originates from whom?
What is the meaning in verse 1 of “soon take place”? Compare Matthew 24:35-37
Revelation 1:2 – who testified to the word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, even to all that he saw.
Testify to what?
Explain which values?
Revelation 1:3 – Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of the prophecy, and heed the things which are written in it; for the time is near.
Three ways to be blessed:
#1 – A blessing for __
______.
#2 – A blessing for __
______.
#3 – A blessing for __
___________.
Someone once said…
Watch your thoughts; they become words.
Watch your words; they become actions.
Watch your actions; they become habits.
Watch your habits; they become character.
Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.
If you think God thoughts, life is much better.
